技嘉科技專為超頻狂熱玩家量身打造的 X58平台極致系列主機板GA-EX58-EXTREME，支援全新一代Intel Core i7 處理器，以全新傳輸架構Quick Path Interconnect (QPI)運作的中央處理器，搭配低耗電、高效能的三通道DDR3記憶體模組，以及同時運作三張顯示卡的PCI-E 2.0 x16插槽設計，支援CrossFireX™ 與3 way SLI 多重顯示卡技術。GA-EX58-EXTREME主機板也採用嚴選用料品質的Ultra Durable 3「技嘉第三代超耐久技術」設計並結合技嘉獨家多段式動態節能節能技術DES Advanced，更支援多種領先市場的系統資訊判讀設計。另外，GA-EX58-EXTREME採用針對超頻環境獨家設計的「Hybrid Silent-Pipe 2」複合式散熱系統，提供耳目一新的創意表現與極致效能的超頻新體驗。Intel® Core™ i7 處理器與X58晶片組 支援LGA1366插槽設計的Intel新一代處理器「Core i 7」，使用QuickPath interconnect (QPI) 連接處理器與南、北橋系統架構，取代目前前端匯流排架構，擁有頻寬增加、低延遲優勢，雙向傳輸速度達25.6GB/s。內建整合式記憶體控制器，支援3通道6組DDR3記憶體DIMM，大幅提升50%傳輸效能。另外，「Core i 7」的獨特技術Turbo Boost Technology，可根據工作負載在運算核心僅使用一個時，其它核心進入閒置狀態時，系統將會自動提升正在運算核心的時脈，以加速運算能力。Intel X58晶片組最大的特色之一就是支援多顯示卡的作業環境，不僅支援ATI Crossfire外，還加入了nVIDIA的SLI，更能滿足高階玩家的需求。
